Accommodating staff and ideal location close to everything you might need, everything was great. The room was modern and cheap, with the balcony.

Cheap room with the balcony, nice staff - everything was great. The hotel was nice and in a central location just off restaurants and a grocery stores, a grocery stores, and the airport. We found nice Dunkin' nearby with hot beverages.

Room in the side building was very modern equipped and very comfortable.

One room was equipped with very old microwave and refrigerator and had an 'old' room atmosphere which was in the main building.

The outdoor pool was a chill spot to relax after a long drive, and the couple managing the place was super friendly. Sadly, the walls were paper-thin

The desk clerk who seems to be the owner or manager was very friendly and accommodating. The fridge was powerful and medium sized, unlike most fridges in budget hotels.There was a pool that was fairly clean, clean enough and not too chlorinated for us to feel comfortable swimming with our baby. The location was very convenient to shopping, food and the ocean.

The bed was horrible uncomfortable. There were lumps in the mattress as well as an ill fitting mattress pad. The bathroom did not have any hooks or additional rails to hang clothes or wet towels. The carpet could use a thorough shampooing. The neighbors were loud and rowdy late at night. There should be some contingency plan for such occurrences on the part of the hotel. My baby was awoken twice after 3 am from guests who did not seem to realize or care that other guests also paid for a room.

The facility was very dirty and sleazy. Would not have selected this place while traveling with children. Easily a one night room for adults.

Friendly couple managing the place made my stay better. Room had a slight odor. Clean amenities and quick check-in. Close to shops and attractions.

Vending out of order, continental breakfast was 2 types of dry cereal with sugar. One kind of milk and 1 kind of juice available. Only white bread available with a toaster and butter. Not very good on this end. Also, lots of things seemed neglected and in general, run down. Quoted price didn't include the room tax (usually didn't) plus some other type of daily tax that is unusual, so a $77 quote for 2 days ended up to be almost $100. Had to leave a $10 deposit for the tv remote. No blankets on bed, just a sheet and spread which had lots of burn holes in it.

The outdoor pool was a good oasis, perfect for a refreshing swim. I appreciated the warm hospitality of the couple running the place. The clean rooms added to my sense of comfort.

Nothing horrible customer service

My stay at the hotel was horrific and unsatisfactory. Very disappointing. My room was horrible, the remote control did not work nor did the microwave even thou I reported both incidents no one repaired the issues. I reported the concerns and did not get any positive feed back. I have stayed at the hotel in williamsburg and the service was awesome and my co-workers and I will never recommend anyone from our company to ever stay in Norfolk again. I was also charged for an additional night even thou I was not informed of the 24 hours checkout.
